3 Year Olds Learn Best Through Play!
Preschoolers are natural learners—curious, imaginative, and always ready to explore the world around them! At Creative Imaginations, we fuel that excitement with a play-based curriculum that’s packed with fun, purpose, and discovery. Our classrooms are filled with themed centers, hands-on activities, and plenty of props to inspire dramatic play, creativity, and big learning through little adventures.

Purposeful Play Leads to Meaningful Learning
for Adventurous Preschoolers!

Cognitive Development
Preschoolers love a good challenge! We offer simple puzzles, memory games, matching cards, and activities like sorting buttons by size or completing patterns with colored blocks—all to boost early thinking and problem-solving.
Language Development
We expand vocabulary and early communication through puppet shows, group storytelling, and dramatic play. Children describe what they’re building in block centers, role-play in the “grocery store,” and chat with friends during snack time—learning how to express thoughts and feelings clearly.
Early Literacy Skills
Books are everywhere! Children enjoy story time with interactive questions, trace letters in sensory trays, sing alphabet songs, and match letter cards to objects. They start to recognize their names, identify beginning sounds, and build a love of reading through playful literacy games.
Numeracy Skills
We bring numbers to life with counting songs, sorting games, and themed activities like counting toy animals in a pretend zoo or rolling dice to move along a game board. Preschoolers begin understanding simple addition and subtraction by combining blocks or sharing materials.
Social Skills
Preschoolers learn how to cooperate by building as a team, taking turns during games, and helping set the table for lunch. Teachers guide them through real-life situations to practice kindness, sharing, and using their words during conflict.
Emotional Development
Feelings are big at age three! We help children name emotions using mirrors, emotion cards, and books about feelings. They learn to calm down in our cozy corners, take deep breaths, and build empathy by caring for baby dolls or comforting a sad friend.
Fine & Gross Motor Skills
Tiny hands get stronger with lacing cards, cutting playdough, and using droppers during science experiments. Big body movement happens through jumping games, dancing to music, obstacle courses, and climbing on outdoor structures.
Independence & Self-Help Skills
Whether they’re zipping up coats, pouring their own water, or cleaning up after play, 3-year-olds thrive when given age-appropriate responsibility. Teachers cheer them on as they try new tasks and build confidence in their abilities.
Creativity & Imagination
Pretend play is serious learning for preschoolers! Our dramatic play area transforms into a bakery, doctor’s office, or space station. Kids paint, draw, dress up, and make up stories—exploring ideas and expressing themselves in colorful, silly, and wonderful ways.
Curiosity & Exploration
Hands-on discovery happens daily! Children investigate magnets, watch ice melt, dig in the sensory bin, and plant seeds to see what grows. We foster their natural curiosity with open-ended materials and lots of time to explore the world around them.
Through meaningful play and caring teacher support, our 3 year olds are not just learning—they're thriving. Every day is an opportunity to grow, explore, and imagine something new!
