Our Story

We have felt the worry and anxiety while looking for someone to care for our children. We hope that you will give us the chance to put your mind at ease!

The idea of Creative Imaginations quickly developed when my husband and I began to research our options for child care for our two young sons. We invested a lot of time into touring and interviewing daycare centers in our area, but were unable to find one that met all of our needs at a price we could afford.

In September 2002, my mother, Linda, suggested that she and I open an in-home daycare for families seeking compassionate childcare in a healthy, clean environment, at a reasonable price. It didn't take long for our little daycare to fill and we spent 10 years enjoying every minute of caring for children from over 30 families.

Over the years, we considered the idea of moving our daycare into a larger setting, but we feared losing the warm, homey atmosphere that we promised to provide. In the fall of 2013, a decision was finally made to find a larger space because of our growing waiting list and a desire to provide a better learning environment for preschool age children. The goal was to find a space that would still emulate an appealing in-home feel.

The perfect location was found in a home that had previously been used as a daycare center. It needed a lot of TLC, but the potential was there. Our entire family pitched in and spent the winter renovating the building. We officially opened our center on February 3, 2014.

As enrollment grew, our need to hire more help became inevitable. Remaining consistent with one of our primary reasons for opening a larger center -- to offer a well structured preschool program -- we decided to employ, as teachers, individuals who had experience working with children and a heart for teaching. Through our network of family and friends, we were able to recruit several talented teachers who helped us create a wonderful preschool program.

Today, our little daycare has grown into a bustling center. We provide care for up to 44 children each day and employ 10 employees.
