Assistant Teacher

Creative Imaginations Child Care & Preschool is looking for an Assistant Teacher for our Totschool class. The candidate selected for this opportunity will work closely with an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to create a classroom environment where children can THRIVE! This person will help children grow and develop by getting on THEIR LEVEL and helping them discover new things! The LOVING, nurturing care you provide will make all the difference in a child’s life.

Idaho requirements to work in child care:

  • Must complete Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification 

  • Must pass an enhanced background check 

  • Must become a member of IdahoSTARS and complete 20 training hours annually. We pay for your hours!

  • Be dependable, flexible and able to work Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:30 pm

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

  • Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the center at all times

  • Provide consistent positive communication and a professional relationship with parents

  • Building trusting and nurturing relationship with children

  • Supervise and monitor the safety of children at all times

  • Maintain strong staff relationships and communication

  • Participate in staff development, staff meetings, professional activities and special events

  • Must be comfortable performing basic care giving, including but not limited to holding children, changing diapers, potty training and assisting children in the bathroom, teaching proper hygiene, feeding children, providing guidance and discipline in accordance with the center's policies.

  • Be creative and enjoy planning curriculum and age appropriate activities and projects for children each day.

  • Ensure that all schedules and activities are in compliance with our center's policies.

  • Keep records of children’s progress, routines, and interests.

  • Perform custodial duties to keep our center clean and sanitary.

  • Be familiar with and adhere to all policies set forth in the Parent Handbook and Employee Handbook.


$12-$14 an hour
